Haiti is facing one of the most challenging periods in its history. Gang violence has displaced over 1.4 million people—a 36% increase since the end of 2024. Projections suggest that by mid-2026, half of the nation's population could experience acute hunger. Political instability continues, hurricanes have devastated crops, and many international aid organizations have withdrawn entirely. For the people of Haiti, daily life means navigating uncertainty, scarcity, and danger.
Yet in the midst of this crisis, God is at work. In 2025, El Shaddai Ministries International not only remained on the ground but expanded its reach—planting 10 new churches, training nearly 400 seminary students, educating 13,000 children across 57 schools, and distributing more than 3.5 million meals to families in need. Nearly 4,000 individuals placed their faith in Jesus Christ this year. University graduates are launching careers. Displaced mothers and children are moving into newly constructed housing. As Psalm 126:3 declares, "The LORD has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy." Here's a closer look at how your prayers and partnership made an eternal difference across Haiti this year.
